Boat handling day out on the bay

Chris R, Chris P and I took the UniDive boat out on Sunday to give 6 new boat handlers some experience doing rescues, navigating and picking up panicked/unconscious divers. I think all agree if (as Chris R puts it) ‘shit happens’ we would all prefer not to be the only person on the surface!

No above water shots as my (old 20D) camera was in the housing. Some typical Morton bay shots here, best of a bad lot 😉

New camera! Canon 7D

Finished the Reef Check course!

I took a course over the past few weeks… Reef Check gathers comparable data world wide to keep a finger on the pulse of the worlds coral reefs.

So I am a certified surveyor now! Now to find some time to get out and do some surveys!
