Caught this one from a few other blogs. It is pretty old, 2000 by the sounds of it, and I don’t know if the predictions are all true or accurate, but I do think people should think of this.
I truly believe that the only way we will survive as a species is to limit our growth (not that I truly believe we will survive). This is a very simple explanation of why I think we must aim for a zero growth economy.
So far I have only watched the first part, but I think that should be enough to make you sit back and think about it.

It is looking more likely that my next OS will be Linux. Love the Mac OS and the UNIX underneath, hate the way Apple is becoming big brother and hobbling their systems.
I don’t pirate, being a computer scientist I do not believe in doing that. I do believe in voting with my feet though.
I don’t generally even buy movies via the Apple iTunes store, but I am getting fed up with Apple turning into another Microsoft.

Come on people. Take the time to write to you politicians and let them know this is a ridiculous waste of money and an infringement on our rights.
Do you really want to live in a country as restrictive as China and Iran?

Excellent. I hope they keep this up.
The Australian Privacy Foundation: APF congratulates the Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) on its recent action against Dodo Australia Pty Ltd in respect of breaches of the Do Not Call Register legislation.
Dodo was forced to pay a penalty of $147,400 after ACMA found that Dodo had made telemarketing calls (through an offshore call centre) to numbers on the national Do Not Call Register.
